Mobile learning issues are very common, but how can we avoid them and ensure our safety? mobile learning issues has various categories Which is physical, psychological, pedagogical. and also issues with the mobile itself. We will try to determine some main points as well as the problem solutions.
It's wonderful to be able to share our opinions with you while also attempting to ensure your safety as a learner. I hope you all enjoy our blog and benefit from it.
Eye Strain |
The increasing use of computers and other digital devices is one of the most common
causes that affect our eyes. This condition is called Computer Vision
Syndrome or Digital Eye Strain. People who look at screens for two hours or
more in a row each day have an increased
risk of developing this condition. With the changes brought about by the COVID-19
Pandemic and the increasing demand for electronic technologies and devices
in distance education and work, Digital Eye Strain has become a serious
problem.
How can we prevent this syndrome?
⏵ Use the correct lighting for both the device screen and the room and adjust the
appropriate screen settings (brightness, contrast, font size and resolution).
⏵ Use devices less (2-3 hours) before going to bed.
⏵ Keep a correct body position when sitting, so that the eyes are 25 inches away
from the screen, and place the screen in a right position so that it helps you
look a little down.
⏵ Make sure to wear the corrective lenses or glasses to correct refractive errors,
if any.
⏵ Use moisturizing drops and increase the number of blinking times to relieve
dry eyes.
⏵ Take a break every 20 minutes spent using a screen and look away at
something 20 feet away from you for 20 seconds
Introversion & Isolation |
Everything has its pros and cons, like technology. Technology contributed to
increased degree of isolation and introversion, because they have made
various options for social activities without physical interaction, as it plays an
important role in meeting the desires of people who prefer to stay at home, and
cooperate on replacement of real friends with others.
Here are some solutions to overcome the introversion and isolation:
⏵ Join the groups both in the club or different activities, this helps much in
overcoming the isolation.
⏵ Maintain the diet and the exercise of the sport.
⏵ Organize the days and make a routine
Neck Bend |
The addiction to using smartphones for long periods causes deformities and atrophy in
the spine of its users, especially young people in adolescence, noting that the
continued use of mobile phones for continuous periods between 2 to 4 hours leads to
early roughness and erosion of the vertebrae and increases pain rates. In the case of
the neck tilt forward, the weight of the head and skull on the neck muscles increases approximately to double with each increase in the tilt of the head forward. which is currently seen in many smartphone addicts for long periods, which requires an involuntary curvature of the head, indicating that they
gradually destroy the spine over long periods of time from incorrect use. There are a number of important tips that everyone should adhere to, especially since smart phones have a beneficial effect in our practical lives, and they are used by all
age groups, young people, children, as well as the elderly.
The most important tips:
⏵ Avoid bending the neck in the direction of the phone, and it is better to raise
the phone in the direction of the body and head to avoid muscle contractures
and chronic neck and back pain whose pain lasts for long periods.
⏵ Avoid using the mobile for long periods without moving the neck and back
muscles in different directions.
⏵ Monitoring the position of the body constantly, especially for adolescents and
young children, to prevent deformities in the spine.
Computer Addiction |
It is defined as excessive or compulsive computer use that continues despite substantial
negative implications to one's personal, social, or professional life. Excessive video
game playing, and email/texting are all examples of impulsive spectrum disorder,
which can affect people online and/or offline. As a result of heavy use of the Internet
for long periods of time without self-control, Internet addiction experts defined this
syndrome as an individual's inability to use the Internet effectively, lack of interest in
the outside world, not spending time with people from the outside world, and
increased loneliness and depression. However, simply because someone spends a lot
of time on a computer does not imply that they are addicted to it.
How to overcome internet addiction:
⏵ Make time for hobbies and exercise
⏵ Get support from family or friends
⏵ Resorting to activities that activate mental and intellectual abilities
⏵ Training in relaxation skills, both physical and mental Setting specific
restrictions when using a computer or the Internet.
Virus Attacks and Hacking |
Virus attacks and computer security hacking are very common these days, so protecting your
personal computer has become very important. Your device may be more likely to
become infected. And without your knowledge. The personal information on your phone, such as messages from chat application, email, call history, and the websites you frequently visit, as well as your personal photos and of course bank account information. protecting the phone from hacking is a necessary step you must take.
How to keep your phone from being hacked or infected with numerous viruses?
⏵ Download anti-virus software and security apps
⏵ Update the device if it needs, it has some improvements, such as enhanced
security
⏵ Do not download files from unreliable websites
⏵ Be careful when opening emails or unknown links
⏵ Use a strong and complex password

Hello group F this is group D, we would like to tell you that we enjoyed your amazing blog such an informative and fun one but, we would like to point out some things like in the “Computer Addiction” we found the solutions a little bit repetitive and in the “Virus Attack and Hacking” the introduction seems slightly ambiguous for the reader because you didn’t explain the issue very well.

Hello, this is Renad. Alghamdi from group B
ReplyDeleteYou have such an organized and interesting blog, it’s interesting to know that many people are unaware of the disadvantages of mobile phones.
Although, I have one small comment regarding your blog post , I noticed that you did not mention some disadvantages of mobile learning, such as
* Software issues.
* Distraction. ...
* Misuse. ...
* Lack of internet connection or electricity.
You did not explain the issues very well, and I think it would be nice to know how we can fix these problems.
Thank you.
Jana Najjar from group H,
ReplyDeleteThis is such a useful blog with lots of helpful information. Especially about how to overcome these issues. But it would have been more helpful if you included ways and techniques to not use and spend too much time on Mobiles in the first place. To learn how to effectively manage your time using these technologies so that you dont get negatively affected by it.

ReplyDeleteI really find the topic very interesting and something common to mostly all of us with the development of the technology these days, and the amount of time we spend on our screens, so i find your topic very helpful, clear, and important for everyone to know about in order to prevent the side effects of using our screens for hours, and not knowing how to deal with the side effect.
this is nouf aldour from group J. You’re topic is very helpful and the information is well organized. And I strongly agree that technology has some disadvantages like you mentioned and most people aren’t aware of this side of technology and it’s a good thing that you discussed this issue to help people from the issues that could happen to them from the technology.
ReplyDeleteI think that group F did a great job in this blog.
ReplyDeleteBut I would like to comment on Introversion & Isolation, we are living in a time when friendships and relationships can begin online or in social media. By a lots of app’s such as clubhouse, and online games like Pubg mobile. As social media programs can make the user Isolated and involved, but the user who uses these programs in a careful and correct way can make relationships and friendships that sometimes will helps him express himself more, also it would make him feel more comfortable than the real life.

Hello,
ReplyDeleteI am Maya from group B. I agree with your point of view that using mobile for learning can make any learner feel isolated. It is because, sometimes mobile learning doesn't feature enough social activities and sometimes learners also don't want to interact with other learners. However, this does not mean that we shouldn't use mobiles, in general, to learn a language. Due to the evolution of technology, learners can now speak or even communicate not only to other local learners, but also to other learners across the world. This can help them gain knowledge about the target language very easily. In fact, it seems to me that most learners use mobile devices to connect with other people who have the same interests. As a result, apps like YouTube, Instagram and Twitter have facilitated social interaction and engaged learners with fun and interesting content. As for me, I think this helps learners who like to share their thoughts, experiences and insights with other people. This can reduce stress and pressure. Therefore, I believe that, even if mobile devices can lead to learners feeling isolated, these devices still have other advantages that if used wisely can make a difference in learning.
Thank you π
Hello ππ»
ReplyDeleteI am Shehan Aljuaid from group B , group F did a great job!
But I wish you you highlighted some of the programs that steal one's time at the present time, such as the popular games PUBG and Ludo Star, which interest all age groups in our society. Because it can be mentioned in your blog.
Thank you overall π«
Hello I am Maram from group J. I read the Blog and all you write about Mobile Learning Issues is absolutely right. But the common issues that you forget to mention it and i think its important issues to mentions, is that most people do not notice it ,is obesity. One of the reasons for it, is eating and forgetting not to walk, also not taking breaks for walking or moving the body, and sitting for long hours in front of the mobile one of the causes of obesity. to solve these issues the person should take a break and walk for 30 minutes.
ReplyDeleteThank you ♥️
Hello Group F
ReplyDeleteI’m Nouf from group A, I enjoyed reading your blog, it was useful. I agree that using mobile it makes people feel Introversion & Isolation, but these mobile devices have advantages If it is used well. I think Introversion & Isolation issue is common these days and the reason why because the people prefer to spend more time in using mobile devices to learn or communicate with others rather than real life, so it’s save more time and save efforts also. Especially, we are in the age of technology that makes our life easier.
Thank you.
Hi this is Basma from group J
ReplyDeleteActually it is a good topic to discuss, because it is very important nowadays. I think that it is very difficult to avoid these problems, because we used to use our phones and technology for hours and hours, and we cannot do anything thing without it, especially in our generation which is governed by technology. But we must reduce its use to solve the problems that caused by mobile phones and technology.
Hello group F, this is Reema Alghamdi from Group C.
ReplyDeleteI like how you wrote about these problems and their solutions and how bad they could get, but I would have liked it if you had talked about the good side of these devices.
They can be a fun and practical way to communicate with friends and family.
Nonetheless, this is a fantastic blog, and I have enjoyed reading it.
Hello group F, I am Nehal from group C. I agree with your point about the disadvantages of using technology for learning can make learners face many harms. Because, mobile learning doesn't have feature enough, actually this does not mean that we shouldn't use mobile for learning. Because It helps learners to gain knowledge and share information and thoughts easily.
ReplyDeleteHello Group F, I am Rahaf Majed from Group A
ReplyDeleteHonestly, I found your blog very interesting and the topic was really fun, I see the great work you did on presenting these common problems and the solution, I want to share my point of view about that point of isolationism and introversion, from what I experienced, technology helped me a lot in developing my social skills and expanding the circle of my friends whom I met online and then transferred the relationship to the real world.
I also gained discussion and dialogue skills, yes there may be cons, but the pros of technology on the social side for me was more.
hello group f, this is alyaa from group I.

Hi group F πππ»I'm from group A I would like to thank you for this amazing blog I really enjoyed reading it. I think your topic is really important especially in our age now and I agree with your points but. I feel you miss an important point that might strongly affect you from a psychological perspective which is (Depression) which consider the main problem in our day and some researchers indicate that using mobile phones or devices may increase this issue. Thanks again for your amazing blog.

ReplyDeleteI just received a good information by reading this، I've been exposed to some of them like eyestrain and various attacks and hacking, It is good that you mentioned how important to secure your devises, you should also organize your time to avoid any eye problems.
Hello this is Safaa from group C .
ReplyDeleteI agree that technology is harmful and there should be moderation in it, but on the other hand, there is a point that I would like to note that technology does not negatively affect introversion and isolation, but it can contribute to it through social media programs so that relationships can be formed through it.
Hello group F πππ»
ReplyDeleteI’m maha from group A. I would like to thank you all for this amazing blog I really enjoyed reading it but I have a comment. I agree with your opinion that technology can sometimes cause isolation, introversion and bad effects . But this only happens when the person is overused it. and I think that technology has a lot of advantages and good effects on human life more than disadvantages.

I liked this blog, it's a beautiful color.
I have an opinion on the subject of computer addiction, I agree with you, in addition to that it has begun to increase in recent years due to the transformation of a large segment of young people to computers, and we must use it for a few hours while working and studying so that it does not affect our daily activities.
Thank you, keep going lady’sππ»π
